Mother's Day - May 9, 2004
The Lord blessed us with beautiful weather for Mother's Day this year. The
weather just complimented the wonderful church service we enjoyed. We had
special prayer for all the ladies. The kindergarten class sang several special
songs. The sermon was based on Proverbs 31:30: Favour is deceitful, and
beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. All
the ladies were offered free carnations as a keepsake and expression of our love
and appreciation. Special recognition was given to Moms in the following
categories:
The mother saved the longest: Wilda Holliday
The mother with the youngest child present: Jennifer Banholzer
The mother married the longest: Ethel MacAvoy (Pastor's Mom)
The grandmother with the most grandchildren: Virginia Avripas
The mothers with the most children present: Ginger Alford & Twyla Walker
Tom Banholzer is pictured presenting the above ladies with their gifts.
Tom Banholzer and his wife Kathi are in the next to last picture.
The final picture is Pastor MacAvoy with his wife and mom.
