Master Club Regional Competition (Westminster, Maryland) April 16, 2005

The group met at the church and left at 5:30 am.  Many took a nap on the way.

When we arrived we registered the kids for the day’s events and entered the crafts, posters, and Christian writing entries.

Then we were off and running! The boys and girls had many relay games in the gym.  Bible table games included were the Wordless Book Relay, 10 Commandments Relay, Story/Chapter/Truth, OT Book Search, and 20 Questions. These games required much preparation and studying.  The children did a great job and learned a lot from these.

20 Questions

Athletic games were also challenging.  Although these did not require any studying, they sure had fun practicing these and competing against the other churches.

Beach Ball Bounce

Obstacle Course

Flying Carpet

Final 5

Not only did the children have fun with all these games but we had fun cheering on from the bleachers.

We had a short lunch break before finishing up the rest of the afternoon.

Upstairs in classrooms the children had several other events in which they competed.  They had two individual Bible games.

Sword Drills

New Testament Theses

There were also many presentations in which they prepared things.

Clearest Gospel Presentation

Bible Story Telling

Preacher Boys

Elizabeth also told a Hymn Story.

We went to the church sanctuary for all the music events.  Justin and Savannah played piano, Elizabeth played the flute, and Grace played the violin.  They also had two songs which they presented.  The mixed ensemble sang “The Bible Way” and the trio sang “Rejoice in the Lord”.

The children, leaders and parents had a great day.  At the end of the competitions they presented awards for the events of the day.

Their hard work and preparation not only won them ribbons and trophies, but also has a lasting impact on them for all the Bible verses memorized and the Bible studying involved in preparing for these events.  We are so proud of each of them and we give God the glory for all that He did through them!!
