REGIONAL COMPETITION

    Saturday, April 17 was the Master Clubs Regional Competition. We met at the church at 8:00 am and left for Faith Baptist Church in Fredericksburg. We arrived at 9:00 and registered for the events. We took some time to walk through the building and see where each event would take place. At 10:00 everyone gathered in the gym for a short orientation meeting and then we were off and running!
    Grace Walker went up to the classrooms for the individual events (Piano Solo, Sword Drills, OT Book Search). At the same time Corey Knupp was in the gym competing on teams with other boys for the athletic games (NT Themes Relay, Story/Chapter/Truth Relay, Thru the Tube Relay, Final Five). At 11:30 these same athletic games were then repeated for the girls teams which Grace took part in. Corey then headed up to the classrooms and competed in his individual events (Young Preacher Boys, Sword Drills, OT Book Search).
    After a quick lunch, the kids had some free time while some of the competitions were finishing up. They played some carnival games and basketball. At 2:45 all the kids met up in the gym for the remainder of the athletic games. Grace and Corey competed in OT Book Search Relay, Katch-A-Cup Hurdles, and Over-Under Relay. We finished up a few minutes early, so they added three more teams to play. First they invited the smaller children from 4 years through the 2nd grade to come and play the Over-Under Relay. The teens were next and were followed by some of the leader/judges.
    The evening ended with the award ceremony. Between Grace and Corey, they brought home 8 ribbons! . Praise the Lord for their hard work as they are serving the Lord.
