Dove Fellowship, October 13, 2007
Twelve ladies and two little girls got together at Diana Oakley's home for
our Dove Fellowship. We met in Diana's pink formal living room which was
filled with beautiful antiques. Diana prepared cheese, white chocolate,
dark chocolate and butterscotch fondues as well as barbecue and sweet and
sour sauces for chicken. We had various breads, fruits, vegetables,
cookies, and an angel food cake that we ate with the fondue. After a relaxed time of food and fellowship, Becky Cox gave a good
devotional about having a growing relationship with the Lord by getting to
know Him personally, following salvation, by reading His Word and prayer. We then played two cute games of charades which Diana and Carey
organized. We ended the evening with more time of fellowship and enjoyed
looking at some pretty hats which Diana brought out in case any of the
ladies still needed a hat for Old Fashioned Day! Our next ladies' get together will be the bridal shower for Michelle
Polivka which will be held at the church on Saturday, November 3, at 2 PM.
