Men's Retreat - November 21-22, 2008

We enjoyed our annual men's retreat. This year our theme was "Be Strong." The primary text for our consideration was Luke 2.52 where Scripture says, "Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.." You can see our retreat booklet by clicking here.

This year we had 14 men attend including: Tom Banholzer, Tim & Christopher Blackburn, John Cox, Ric DiBagno, Darrell Estabrook,  Shawn Hatcher, Jeff & Corey Knupp, Dan MacAvoy, Gary & Stephen Mattson, John Newcomer, Herbert Stanley and Renzor Tate.

Sessions were taught by Pastor MacAvoy, Tim Blackburn, Gary Mattson, Shawn Hatcher and John Cox.

Prepared testimonies were given by Tom Banholzer, John Newcomer and Herbert Stanley.

The men's choir sang a special number for each session.

On Friday evening even enjoyed some wonderful desserts provided by Valerie Hatcher, Becky Jaciuk, Cindy Knupp, Janice MacAvoy, Beth Oliver and Gertrude Stanley.

The sessions, food, singing, games and especially fellowship were needed and enjoyed by all who attended.

Herbert Stanley and Shawn Hatcher competed in a "blind" competition.

Corey Knupp and Stephen Mattson were good sports as they became "human mummies" in a team competition.
