Christmas Party - December 8, 2009

The ladies had a wonderful time at the Christmas party on Tuesday evening. There were about 24 ladies (and a few little girls) in attendance. Kathi Banholzer and her helpers had the fellowship hall decorated in the theme of “Joy to the World” and it looked lovely.

It was a rather cold, rainy evening, but we were cozy inside. The ladies brought some delicious snacks which we shared. Then Kathi gave a great devotional using different types of candies as object lessons standing for the various truths in the Christmas story and emphasizing our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Next the ladies exchanged gifts! The ladies who did not have a “secret pal” this year brought a gift to exchange with another lady. Those who had a secret pal identified themselves. It was great fun as some ladies were quite surprised and others had a “hunch” about the person who was giving them gifts and notes throughout the year!

Finally we drew names out of the “Christmas bowl” determining our secret pals for the new year.

It was a great evening, and a wonderful, Christ-filled event for us all!
