Baby Shower - March 6, 2009

We had a wonderful time at Michelle Donahue’s baby shower on Friday evening, March 6th! Casey Knupp and Jennifer Estabrook decorated the fellowship hall in a nautical theme and it looked beautiful! Michelle’s Mom, sisters and sister-in-law were able to be there. Kyle’s Mom was also there. A friend from Michelle’s work came to support her. Of course, a number of our dear church ladies (and a few younger girls!) were there as well.

We had a nice time of fellowship then played a cute game about people in the Bible and who their parents were. Becky Cox gave a good devotional about the great privilege and responsibility that we as mothers have to train our children to really love God. She said that, in seeking to train our child, we should remember to walk with and love the Lord ourselves and love and submit to our own husband. This will be a good example to our child and will impact his or her life.

We ended the evening with Michelle opening her gifts. She and Kyle got some great gifts for their little one, and Kyle even got a “survival kit” for those times when he may be called on for emergency diaper duty!
