Dove Fellowship - August 1, 2009
We had a very nice time at Dorothy Wade’s house for
the Dove Fellowship on Saturday, August 01, 2009. Dorothy had helium
balloons outside her house to let us know where the Dove Fellowship was to
be. Dorothy provided the hot dogs, condiments, rolls, and drinks, and of
course, she was the hostess of our evening! The ladies brought some
delicious dishes to compliment the hot dogs and the summer theme. After a
nice time of eating and fellowship, Dorothy asked Valerie to play “Amazing
Grace” on Dorothy’s keyboard, and then Dorothy played “I Would Be True”.
Then Dorothy gave a testimony of how she had gotten saved as a
little girl, but really started growing for the Lord several years ago
when she began coming regularly to church and got baptized, then continued
on with regular personal Bible studies and prayer. She then read a number
of inspirational sayings that her co-worker passed on to her. We enjoyed
many of the sayings, and had some great laughs at some of the sayings that
were true but also very funny.
A big “thank you” to Dorothy for opening
her home to us and also thank you to each of the ladies who took the time
and made the effort to come out. Our next Dove Fellowship will be on
Saturday, November 7th. Mark your calendars and make plans to
come out and be a blessing to one another.
