Eagle Fellowship - January 31, 2009

This evening was the first men's fellowship for the new year. We grilled our meat and it was cold outside. We had a good turnout of 14 guys. Shawn Hatcher gave a wonderful devotional on the subject of being blessed.  He read a variety of OT verses dealing with characteristics of the person who is blessed by God. We spent time discussing caring for the church grounds during the upcoming cutting season and men volunteered to be on a grass gang. Herbert Stanley volunteered to provide the accountability and leadership for this part of our ministry throughout the year. A real highlight today was the dessert prepared by Darrell Estabrook. Check out the pictures below: the fruit is just the top - there are three layers of cake and mousse and the outside layer is chocolate. When we volunteered for bringing food for the next fellowship, Darrell was unanimously chosen to bring the dessert again! Plan to join us on May 25th - who knows what Darrell will bring next time (maybe Oreos).
