Donahue Baby Shower - July 31, 2010

            Kyle and Michelle Donahue are expecting a little baby girl in a couple of months! Michelle’s sisters, Angie and Meg Polivka, and our Casey Knupp, planned and put a baby shower together for Michelle. A number of ladies and girls came and we had a good time together. The fellowship hall was decorated with  pretty pink flowers on the walls, and the tables had pink tablecloths with daisies in little flower vases on them.

            We played a couple of fun games together and ate the good cupcakes and food that the ladies brought. Then Meredith McGee, the pastor’s wife from Michelle’s family’s church, gave a good devotional about Hannah, Samuel’s mother. She challenged us to make the most of our time with our children for the Lord’s glory and to really treasure our children as gifts from the Lord.

            After the devotional, we decorated little white “onesies” for Kyle and Michelle’s little daughter to wear. A number of really cute shirts were the result of this activity!

            The afternoon ended with Michelle opening the gifts from the ladies and girls. Thank you to all who took the time to come and support Michelle as she prepares for their new little daughter from the Lord!
