Old Fashioned Day - October 9, 2011

OFD is one of the biggest days of the year for HBC and 2011 was not an exception.  Lots of folks work together to put together all the details.  For this year, Beth Oliver coordinated Old Fashioned Day. Her team included Jackie Rook (photos), Darrell & Jennifer Estabrook (kitchen, pumpkins, mums), Herbert & Gertrude Stanley (grilled chicken and hot dogs), Becky Jaciuk (dessert contest), Gary Mattson (greeters), and Cindy Lucas (breakfast).

Pastor presented the church's mission statement: "Hanover Baptist Church exists to bring attention to Jesus Christ by teaching the Bible, providing refuge for His followers, and loving all people." This will be accomplished by practicing the following:

bullet

We will remember that HBC is about Jesus Christ, not ourselves.

bullet

We will prioritize learning and living what the Bible says.

bullet

We will constantly encourage all other members regardless of their struggles.

bullet

We will share the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ in every possible way with every possible person.
