Ladies' Christmas Party
Our ladies' Christmas party was a delightful time. We began on Saturday, December 8, at 5 PM with a time of fellowship and then ate around 5:30. Before we gave thanks to the Lord for the food, Kathi read a beautiful poem regarding Christmas and Christ. Jesus Christ is the very best Gift of Christmas.
The ladies brought all kinds of delicious food, as it was a "potluck" theme.
Following the meal, Sarah Cook brought a good devotional, helping us to meditate on the truths of why Christ Jesus is the Greatest Gift at Christmas. She read verses from the Bible supporting the truths that Jesus gives eternal life. He is God, and will be with us throughout our lives if we repent of our sins and believe on Him. Sarah shared with us that it is so amazing that Jesus would die on the cross in our place, be buried, and rise again from the dead so that we can be saved!
Following the devotional time, we drew names for door prizes and exchanged ornaments that we had brought.
Many thanks to Kathi Banholzer for her creativity in putting the party together, and to Becky Cox and their children, Diana Oakley, and Carey and John Cole and Gracie for their help in the decorating of the fellowship hall.
