Dove Fellowship - October 16, 2021
A good number of ladies gathered in the children’s church room for a happy birthday party! Sarah Arnold organized it, and asked various people to contribute by bringing soup; ice cream or toppings; or by preparing testimonies.
Even though it was raining when the fellowship time started, the ladies came and we “had a ball” together! We began by playing a “get to know you/five in a row” game. The game had a number of questions requiring us to find out peoples’ interests, or other fun facts about them.
Diana Oakley then gave a demonstration of how to decorate cupcakes. She brought little kits for the ladies to make their own sheep, or turkey, cookie monster, snowman, or rainbow cupcake.
After that we all ate soup. There were four different kinds of delicious homemade soups. We then played a game that Sarah Cook led in which every lady got out our purses and found which purse earned the most points because of things contained in the purse.
Then several ladies gave the testimony of how they became saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. Those were of course our “spiritual birth stories” at this special birthday party! Sarah Arnold ended our testimony time by reading Ephesians 2:1-5, emphasizing that the Lord is the Hero of our birth stories. However or whenever we got saved, it is the Lord Who made the difference in our life.
We ended the evening by eating ice cream with all kinds of toppings. It was a wonderful time of fellowship. Our next Dove fellowship will be our ladies’ Christmas party on Saturday, December 11. Hope you can be there!
