The Lord gave us a beautiful warm day for our ladies’ Christmas party on Saturday, December 11, at 10:30 AM.
We had about 30 ladies and girls there. Kathi Banholzer and her helpers decorated the fellowship hall so beautifully with oval red plates with poinsettias and gold edges on them.
The theme was “The Greatest Christmas Gift Ever”, focusing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Kathi Eshleman gave a wonderful devotional on this theme. She encouraged us to cultivate the attitude of gratitude towards the Lord. She said that when we compare ourselves with anybody else, that will steal our gratitude. She encouraged us to be sure that we are saved and that we love the Lord best of all. She ended her devotional with a challenging poem, reminding us to not forget the Lord Jesus in our Christmas activities.
The ladies brought lots of good food to the brunch, and we had a nice time together. We had a gift exchange and enjoyed seeing what everybody ended up with for their gifts. It was a great time together: relaxing, as well as a blessing, as we drew near to the Lord and to each other as ladies.
