Casey Jukkola's Baby Shower, 6/27/15
Today the ladies of HBC enjoyed celebrating with Casey the upcoming birth of the third Jukkola girl!
A lovely brunch was hosted by Becky Cox featuring fresh flowers and bright yellow decor. Many ladies contributed with yummy foods, decorating help and cleanup afterwards. After the tasty meal was eaten we enjoyed a specially composed rendition of “You are my Sunshine” by Janice MacAvoy and Beth Oliver. Beth Oliver also gave the devotional looking at Deut 6 as a passage for rearing up children in the Lord and Jesus as an example who grew in knowledge and wisdom throughout his childhood. Many hearts were encouraged by her kind and truthful telling of God’s Word. Following the devotional we had a round of scattegories based on the letter ‘M’ as the new baby’s name begins with that letter. Casey then took the rocking chair of honor and with much help by all the young ones in attendance opened her shower of gifts. The generosity of both family and friends in attendance will have this new little one well set up for her coming into this world and her older sisters also got a few thoughtful gifts. A short time of fellowship and recipe sharing concluded the activity with the favor of double dipped chocolate pretzel gifts as a door gift.
