We walked into the fellowship hall on Saturday morning, May 8, and were greeted by a wonderful scent of delicious cooked foods! The room was beautifully decorated with sunflowers, black and white checkered tablecloths, and personalized indicators of where groups could sit. It was so lovely! Diana Oakley and Carey Cole (along with Carey’s family) had transformed the room into a “Home Sweet Home” theme.
Becky Jaciuk took group pictures, and then we ate. Diana and Carey had prepared foods, and had made a setup that went very well with keeping people safe and healthy.
After a nice time of fellowship, we had a devotional. Janice MacAvoy spoke on “Making a Home Sweet Home”, closing with a plea for us to look around us, and to seek to share the salvation of Jesus Christ with people who don’t know Him. One day, every knee shall bow to the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:1 - 11), but for some, it will be too late, and they will go forever to the lake of fire (Rev. 20:11-15).
Diana ended the afternoon by reading a hilarious story of Mr. and Mrs. Wright, and the birth of their first baby.
