Ladies' Christmas Party

The theme for our ladies’ Christmas party this year was “Christmas Joy.” Kathi Banholzer did a lot to prepare for this party. But then, in the beginning of November, she broke her ankle. It was a good thing that she had done a lot of preparation for the party ahead of time! She had already gotten a lot of the decorations and the favors for each lady. She and Casey had worked together on that. And she had asked Natalee Wilson to do the devotional. So, even though Kathi was unable to be there for our Christmas party, a number of ladies helped to make the party happen.
Natalee gave a good devotional focusing on the verse from Mary’s Magnificat: “He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name” (Luke 1:49). Natalee mentioned some of the great things that God has done for each of us who have believed on Jesus Christ as our Savior. She also encouraged us to think about ways that we can magnify the Lord as we go about our business during this Christmas season. Perhaps God can use us to give a word of testimony, so that someone would be saved.
The ladies exchanged wrapped accessories and Diana gave out door prizes for everyone there. We had a good time of fellowship, including eating the delicious food that everyone brought.
