"His Eye is on the Sparrow"
The ladies had a wonderful time at our Mothers’ Brunch on Saturday, May 11, at 10 AM. Diana Oakley and her crew did such a lovely job decorating the fellowship hall. The theme was “His Eye is on the Sparrow.”
We sang all three verses of that beautiful song. The children who sang, “My Mother’s Gentle Love.” Janice MacAvoy gave a devotional about Hagar and how our gracious Lord found her in the wilderness. Hagar came to believe on the God Who heard her cries of anguish, and Who helped her. This God can save any of us, and He can give us His grace to do His will.
We did a fun crossword puzzle about various mothers in the Bible, and then we finished with a game in which we had to guess who each person in attendance was (based on three facts that they told about themselves).
It was a great time of fellowship!
